Inzaghi warns milan

The veteran striker is now feeling surplus to requirements.

“I really wanted to play the whole match, as I haven’t done that in probably over a year,” he told MilanNews. “I am happy and it was tough, but the most important thing was to get some fuel in the engine. I preferred to play with the youth team, as a competitive match is different to a training session.

“I train hard and try to ensure I am ready. I am relaxed and very hungry to get back to the top level, because I still enjoy my football. Playing makes me feel happy.

“Today it felt like going back to 20 years ago when I was at Piacenza, going to college and eating in the lunch hall. I even went to a pre-match training camp, because that’s what I’m like. I want to feel useful.

“My dream is to end my career at Milan and that could well happen, but we have to see if they still need me,” continued Inzaghi.

“I want to continue as long as I feel important. I would hate for others to tell me to stop, as I want it to be my decision. We’ll see what happens in the next two months, because I want to be a protagonist.

“If I can’t do it at Milan, then I can try to achieve that elsewhere. As I said, my dream is to end my career with Milan, but we have to see if they still need me.”

Silva invites Hamsik to Milan

Milan defender Thiago Silva has asked Napoli star Marek Hamsik to join him at San Siro.
The Rossoneri have been linked with a move for Slovakian midfielder and Silva is hoping Hamsik will eventually end up at San Siro.
“It would be so much better if Hamsik were playing this game with a Rossoneri jersey,” smiled Thiago Silva in La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He has incredible technique and class. I hope he can be my Milan teammate next season.”
The Brazilian defender was then quizzed on the latest interest from Barcelona.
“I personally did not say no to anybody, but that’s because I was never contacted.
“In any case, I consider it unfair to reject any option out of hand, as you never know what could happen in future. I did the same in Brazil.”

Anzhi still keen on Gattuso

The agent of Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has revealed that Russian side Anzhi are still keen on his client.
The veteran midfielder considered an offer from Anzhi in the summer transfer window, but ultimately decided to remain at San Siro.
However, his agent Andrea D’Amico admits the Russians are still interested in Gattuso.
“It’s still early and players out of contract can start negotiations next year,” Andrea D’Amico told Sport Italia.
“The interest of Anzhi was there before and even now, but so far there have been no developments, so we’ll talk with AC Milan and we’ll see.
“Rino has been there for many years and every time we’ve done the contract after a short talk with (Adriano Galliani).
“We’ll see what he plans, depending on the demands, Rino is very calm.”
