Anzhi still keen on Gattuso

The agent of Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has revealed that Russian side Anzhi are still keen on his client.

The veteran midfielder considered an offer from Anzhi in the summer transfer window, but ultimately decided to remain at San Siro.

However, his agent Andrea D’Amico admits the Russians are still interested in Gattuso.

“It’s still early and players out of contract can start negotiations next year,” Andrea D’Amico told Sport Italia.

“The interest of Anzhi was there before and even now, but so far there have been no developments, so we’ll talk with AC Milan and we’ll see.

“Rino has been there for many years and every time we’ve done the contract after a short talk with (Adriano Galliani).

“We’ll see what he plans, depending on the demands, Rino is very calm.”

AC Milan ace Kaka pleads with Gattuso to stay

Kaka has pleaded with Rino Gattuso to stay with AC Milan.

"I really cannot imagine Milan without Rino," said the Brazilian.

Asked about the arrival of Ronaldinho from Barcelona, Kaka said: "I think he could do very well here. We can play together and already have done for the Selecao. This is a team that can take many great champions in its line-up, so if more were to arrive that would be even better."

Of Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko, he added: "If Sheva returned then I would be very happy, because he is my friend. For various reasons he has not played consistently for the past two years, but I know he could make his contribution to Milan."

Up to yesterday we thought he would need two or three weeks, but now I believe that within two weeks he is recoverable for the game against Arsenal. He was surely very scared because it was his first injury, following a wonderful goal and the day after he had to reach the training camp of the Brazilian national side. He suffered a lot physically, but at the same time also psychologically, but now he’s serene.

“Kaka will surely be available for the game against Arsenal, but he won’t be available for Siena. His knee problem, which he has been carrying for the past two years, is suffering a bit of pain the day after the games. For this reason we have decided to take action in order to recover him at 100% because his pain is influencing his way of game.

“Ronaldo and Inzaghi will surely be part of Sunday’s game against Siena. I saw them in form during today’s training session.
